“God Gives Us the Purpose and the Power! But the Race Is Ours to Win or Lose!”
The fall of the first humans (Adam and Eve) into sin, caused everyone born after to be born into sin, also. Sin causes major dysfunction in a person’s inner life. Their sense of purpose, values, and destiny become distorted. Now you know why there’s so much chaos in the world; and why so many individuals are struggling with their emotions. But the greatest problem sin has brought into the human race is DEATH (ROMANS 5:12). However, DO NOT LOSE HOPE, THE ANSWER IS HERE! But let’s understand the problem a bit more.
So then, the human Race is a “Race” where EVERYONE is born to LOSE! There is no commendation or award for anyone that crosses the “finish line”; it’s only DEATH! However, there is hope for those that have answered the call of Jesus Christ, before they cross the “finish line”. Jesus is the answer to this monumental problem. He can enable us to be Born Again, eradicating all of the faults of the first birth! This birth is a spiritual birth, it returns us to our original, God intended, identity. In the beginning, God created humans to be in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). Since God is a spirit (John 4:24), our main identity is spiritual as well; human bodies are just “earth suits”, to be used as long as we are on Earth. As with all articles of clothing, our earth suit will wear out, or be torn beyond repair, or be abandoned.
The identity and destiny of mankind, has been pondered for many thousands of years before Christ, as seen in the book of Job.
Jesus provides the solution to this problem. Jesus Christ came to be the “Redeemer”, and provide Job with a glorious outcome; as well as everyone else that finish their race with life-changing faith in Jesus Christ! He gives EVERLASTING LIFE!
The Bible provides a lot of detail on this subject. It tells us that we must be in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). To be in Christ, spiritually, we must be born again; and live a holy life, free from sin (Hebrews 12:14; Romans 6:22; Ephesians 5:27; 2 Peter 3:14). This can only be possible by having a real, God ordained, God performed, born again experience. It cannot be in “name only”. This must be preceded by going through a personal crucifixion. This involves the inward man also, not the physical body. This gets rid of one’s old self, and its sinful nature (Romans 6:6). The way we think; what we believe; our value system; our desires; are changed into a new mode of operation. This is because we have a new and better source of fulfillment and gratification, which comes from the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:9, 10). It is related to the taste of heaven that Christians experience while we are still on earth (Hebrews 6:4, 5). We also have a new, everlasting purpose; that’s compatible to our everlasting life. This is what salvation is about. Unfortunately, you do not hear this in the fallen church; but it is a necessary part of salvation!
The Bible gives us a way to avoid slipping back into the “losers category” of spiritual darkness and death. Jesus tells us in Luke 9:23, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” By it being a daily cross, confirms this type of crucifixion experience is not physical; it relates to the inner man. But not experiencing this is a main reason the “fallen church syndrome” is so widespread, as foretold in Scripture. And if people do not recover, they will be condemned to the Lake of Fire; according to Scripture. [2 Thessalonians 2:3, 9-12].
