God Is Stronger Than Sin

A popular, but very tragic belief has invaded the church world of today! The belief states that everyone is a sinner, including Christians! Those that accept this belief obviously do not believe that Jesus Christ can defeat sin in a person’s life. Therefore, they do not have faith in Jesus Christ. Neither do they have faith in, or believe, the written word of God. But neither can these multitudes of churchgoers have salvation. According to God’s word, they have rejected Jesus Christ and embraced Satan, the architect of sin. This should be easy to understand, especially since Jesus said no one can serve two masters; but the big lie keeps marching on. It is being promoted by seducing spirits of the last days, as prophesied in the Bible. These seducing spirits are using many religious leaders as their proxies. Their impact is seen in churchgoers that continue to sin because they are faithless, lost souls. Within today’s population, we have many like the one’s Jesus spoke of in Matthew 17:17, “O faithless and perverse generation…

That helps explain this age of the fallen church, because many preachers do not have faith in Jesus Christ either. That’s why you should take note of them, and stay away from them and their teachings. Correct Bible teaching must emphasize that a person must undergo a personal crucifixion; which destroys their old sinful nature. Then they will experience a resurrection into a new, sin free life by the Holy Spirit. If this has not happened in your life, you cannot settle for just calling yourself a Christian; that is unacceptable to God. As Jesus says in Revelation 2:5, you must “do the first works”. Return to your “prayer closet” or “war room”, and pour out your whole inner life before God in prayer; he will see you through!

The main reason Jesus came into the world was to solve the sin problem. The Bible says in John 1:29 that Jesus came to be the “Lamb of God, to TAKE AWAY the sin of the world”. And Revelation 1:5 says He “washed us FROM OUR SINS in his own blood”. These promises only apply on the individual level; for those that have real faith, from the heart, in Jesus Christ. This is seen in John 3:16, which says “WHOSOEVER believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. However, according to Galatians 3:14, REAL FAITH enables us to receive the Spirit of God. As stated earlier, receiving the Holy Spirit brings a radical change into a person’s life. They become a new creation in Christ, and able to live a life free from sin! Romans 6:1, 2, 22, 23 makes it clear that we are forbidden by God to continue in sin as a true Christian.
