Spiritually blinded by sin, the human race became incapable of functioning as God intended at creation. We became boxed in by the limitations of the physical world. Therefore, we all needed a redo! We all must be born again! So, where could we go but to the Lord? A real born again experience enables us to be a new creation in Christ. Then we are able to participate in the spiritual world of Christ. We are not of this world anymore. This world is terminal. His world is invisible, but everlasting and perfect. When you are born again, your primary interests, and source of fulfillment, is about engaging the inner work of the Holy Spirit. Even the best the World has to offer cannot keep us from being unfulfilled. The systems of the world is without solutions to mankind’s many mental and emotional problems. And it does not have any way to even attempt to deal with spiritual problems; they are the most important ones to solve. In fact, many of the world’s “SOLUTIONS” only make problems worse! They are called side effects, or collateral damage! That can be deadly when you are the target. Jesus helps us overcome that fear by giving us everlasting life.
Jesus Christ was sent by God to offer to humanity the way to solve all problems. To take advantage of the solution we must learn to live in His world. So, to paraphrase the message of a secular song, but with a greater level of truth, “I would rather live in His world, than live without Him in mine!”
1 Corinthians 2:9-10, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.…”.
2 Corinthians 4:18, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”.
Many teach that we should assume a state of happiness, and pursue a better state of mind. Most people know that’s not real. It won’t work. Brainwashing is superficial; it cannot reach deep enough.
That’s why real happiness can only come from God by his Holy Spirit. Because the problems that humans have emanates from our heart, our spirit and soul. Only God has the knowledge and skill to make the necessary changes. His changes will not only benefit our life here on earth, but will give us a glorious life for all eternity. However it is similar to going to a dentist or doctor, but on a much higher plane, because we cannot achieve the desired goal without going through an unhappy experience.
Jesus is our great example of suffering very unhappy experiences, in order to achieve a greater goal. Jesus suffered disappointment and rejection from his own people. He was beaten until he was beyond recognition. Then after such merciless brutality, he was committed to die a slow death by being nailed to the cross.
As the manner of God is, the story did not stop there! Also, as for as you are concerned, if you go with God, your story will not end on a sad note either. Once again, Jesus is our example. His encounter with horrendous suffering brought about everlasting glorification for Him. For after the suffering, He returned to his glorified place in heaven. Therefore, after we have went through the pains of change, becoming a new creation in Christ, we will receive a taste of heaven in this life, as confirmation that we are headed for the kingdom to come.
Hebrews 12:2 , “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”.
1 Peter 1:8, “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:”
Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”.
Jesus brought joy, peace, power, love, and a sound mind; and everlasting life to those that would come to him. However, to be able to come to a true relationship with Jesus, we must go through the unhappiness of our own cross experience. This gets rid of the “old person” that we were, with his problems. Then we will be resurrected into a new spiritual life; with the power to overcome everything negative.
Luke 9:23, “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”.
Romans 6:6, “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”
Romans 6:22, “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”
1 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
