Always remember that false teaching is poison to a person’s inner life; their soul and spirit. It kills a person’s chances of entering the eternal kingdom of God. Jesus says that the truth will make you free, spiritually; but falsehood will keep you bound in chains. God’s word tells us in 1 Corinthians 5:6 and in Galatians 5:9 that it only takes a little leaven (or religious error) to corrupt one’s whole spiritual life. In Matthew 16:6 & 12 Jesus defines the word “leaven”, in a spiritual context, as meaning false doctrine.

The following are examples of 10 erroneous or out of context concepts used by today’s false teachers. How many of them are you familiar with? What Scriptures do you think will prove or disprove any?

In future posts we will compare them to the Holy Bible; and see how God speaks for Himself! No “opinions” given. You are given a sampling of Scripture now, so you can start your own analysis. Hopefully you will begin to see why the practice of Christianity, in most cases, is far removed from the path of Jesus Christ. This leaves many people headed for the Lake of Fire, without knowing it; as God’s word declares (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12).

Please Note: This Is a List of False Doctrines, Waiting to Be Disproved.

1. We have been made the righteousness of God in Christ independent of a changed life. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21; 1 John 3:7; Matthew 7:15-21).

2. A Christians “position” in Christ cannot be changed, even if the person lives and dies in sin. (John 15:4-6; James 1:14-16; 1 John 3:8).

3. Christians are still sinners. (John 1:29; Revelation 1:5; Romans 6:1-2, 6, 7, 16, 22, 23).

4. Jesus’ sacrifice paid the penalty for our past, present, and future sins. (Romans 3:25; Romans 6:1-2; Hebrews 10:26).

5. Jesus finished his work of salvation for us on the cross. (Luke 3:16; John 14:26; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 15:14).

6. Once saved, always saved. (James 5:19-20; 1 John 3:8; John 15:6).

7. Salvation comes without spiritual power. (Acts 1:8; Ephesians 6:10; Romans 15:13; 1 Peter 1:5).

8. Christians are supposed to receive the material blessings of Abraham. (Galatians 3:14; Ephesians 1:3).

9. Christians should use their faith to pursue prosperity. (Matthew 6:19-20, 32, 33; Colossians 3:1-4).

10. We must know how to operate the word of God. (Romans 8:14, 26; 2 Corinthians  3:5; Proverbs 3:5-7).
